just remembered ...The Importance of being Earnest

The other night I was watching this movie with my mom and i remembered how much I love every line in the movie. It is the coolest thing ever written. Who can deny lady bracknell of having the coolest lines. Like when Earnest Worthing tell Lady Brackell that he was found as a baby in a handbag...

"Mr. Worthing. i must confess that i am somewhat bewildered by what you have just told me. To be born or at any rate bred in a handbag, whether it has handles or not, seems to me to display a contempt for the ordinary decencies of family life, which reminds one of the worst excesses of the French revolution. And i presume you know what that unfortunate movement lead to."

I love it.

The coolest Halloween party ever!

Julie is awesome! she threw the coolest Halloween party that I wish everyone could have seen. Every little detail of her house was perfect. The pictures are courtesy of my mom's cell so i hope you can see the coolness. Parker went as a prisoner and I went as a mechanic. Dad went as a chef and mom was a doctor.
if you can see in the left of this picture there is a sceleton and his chest has little bones in it and the heart is a dish of bruchetta! the face is cream cheese and ham!
this is a skeleton lounging and reading
Out side she had a lot of stuff but the creepy thing was these baby heads she had hanging in the trees.

The cups had eyeballs on them! and there was a brain floating in the water.
and this is just cute!
what we didn't see was there was a dead body covered with a sheet in the back yard and she had a vampire room and a witch area. We also played this game called farkle that is kind of like bunco. anyway it was great!

Happy Halloween!

Down for the Count!

Last Tuesday I was @ work and I was just bending over some boxes and when I went to stand up I heard a pop and then I couldn't stand up all the way... darn it. So I waited there in the back room for about 10 min, hunched over, until someone found me. She helped me get on the flor and everyone is wanting to call 911. I'm thinking ya it hurts but do we have to be so dramatic and call 911? I was hoping I could stretch it out and be fine.
Well, I'm glad the did call because I was hurting! The ambulance came and took me to the E.R. where I had to get off the bed and into a wheel chair. Well, this was a problem because it hurt more to sit than anything else! so I was leaning all my weight onto my arms (which still hurt bytheway) for the 4 hours we were there! Of course I had a good time with the guy next to me pucking his guts out and the guy who came in and said that his whole family has the swine flu and he thinks he has it to and the grandma who was wearing a sweater with pictures of money and brass knuckles all over it.
After all that and x-rays and paper work... I find out that I sprained my back and it will be about two weeks to recover... BOO. So, the first few days I layed drugged up on the couch and then I got better and today I am back at work with my beautiful back brace on. I'm a little sore but felling pretty good. Thanks to everyone who did such nice things for me and sent your well wishes while I was Down for the Count!

Things I Hope to Always Remember

We play a lot of cards ( mainly phase 10) and we sometimes like to play it outside very late at night. So last night the weather was so awesome that we set up a table on our back porch and had dinner then played phase 10. Parker won. I only say that because he doesn't get to win very often. :)
I took some pictures because as we were playing I was thinking... this is the life. No matter how poor we are, no matter what happened at work that day, no matter how annoying my hair had been all day, for these few moments it was just us. Having fun. Best friends laughing and playing together while everything else seemed to not matter.
Sometimes after a yucky day at work, I have a hard time believing that "men are that they might have joy". But then Heavenly Father reminds me what it's all for by giving me a perfect night with the love of my life over a game of Phase Ten on the tiny back porch of our apartment.
Life is good.
